CEREBOS GREGGS

Wastewater Treatment Plant

The plant is designed to buffer and correct the pH levels in the trade wastewater from Cerebos Greggs Coffee Factory in Dunedin.  First the rotary screen removes the coffee solids from the water, depending on pH the water is then directed into one of 30m3 tanks.  By splitting the flow water is then blended together before discharging to achieve the required pH.  This will minimise usage and cost of of chemical pH correction.  The entire system was designed and manufactured inhouse.

DIDYMO SCREENS

Didymo can enter water race intakes and block downstream equipment such as pumps and spray nozzles, taking considerable time and effort for farmers to clear.  Aqwell have developed an innovative screening system for the removal of didymo and other debris from irrigation water intakes. We have installed a number of screens on irrigation water intakes throughout Canterbury and Otago. Screens feature a stainless steel screen element sized to handle flows from 200 to over 2,000L/sec and a conveyor and brush automatic cleaning system run off a timer.

ROCK FERRY WINES

This small scale plant is ideal for small to medium wineries and crushing facilities and includes a sump, Aqwell rotary wedgewire screen, settling tank, balance tank with aeration and an irrigation system.

CLOUDY BAY WINES

This large scale plant is run as a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR), which results in advanced treatment of the winery waste water. It includes a sump, a large Aqwell rotary wedgewire screen, several settling tanks, a large (500m3) balance tank with aeration and an irrigation system as well as an advanced process control system with pH neutralisation, DO control and an irrigation control system. All pipe work is stainless steel.
