Front Store News

The day started out foggy and cold, but the bay was like glass as the team sailed out of Moeraki harbour.  It didn't take long to get to the cod fishing grounds and within half an hour the first fish were being reeled in. 

Front Store contest winners, Andre Wolmarens (through The CM Front Store in Ashburton) and Darrin Rawlings (through The Front Store, Timaru) both enjoyed the day, taking home a good quantity of blue cod, as did a group of The Front Store customers invited from each branch to join in the days fishing.  

Martin, the skipper of the Sirocco, and Noel the deckhand, were excellent hosts, cooking up a barbecue, baiting up and filleting all fish at the end of the day, making the day thoroughly enjoyable.
